Our Faith
Founded by Christ
The Orthodox Church is the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church, founded by Jesus Christ and His apostles. It is organically and historically the same Church that came fully into being at Pentecost (Acts 2).
Our Archdiocese
St. Thekla is part of the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America, under the ancient Patriarchate of Antioch, the place where "the disciples were first called Christians" (Acts 11:26).
One Church
Although there are several Orthodox jurisdictions throughout the world, they are not different denominations. Together, the Eastern Orthodox Churches profess the same faith and remain in communion with one another.
